The "Rhine Falls" in Zurich are the largest waterfalls in Switzerland in particular and the continent of Europe in general, and it is located in the northern region of the country.
The "Rhine Falls" are located specifically on the High Rhine, in the border region between the cantons of Schaffhausen and Zurich, and were formed thousands of years ago.
The area around the Rhine Falls in Switzerland enjoys state attention. It is fully serviced and includes viewing platforms on both sides of the river.
Formative description:
The waterfalls are 150 meters in width and 23 meters in height, and the average water flow in the winter months is about 250 cubic meters per second.
Long years ago, during the Ice Age, many tectonic transformations took place that led to the holding of the "Rhine River" to become a new course, and after that a new transitional stage appeared from the transformation of the chalky solid material of the stream into fine gravel, and then there was an eruption of cubes of water into the depths.
In the middle, a huge rock remained to resist all the factors of nature throughout those years, which today has become a tourist destination that people from all countries of the world come to see it.
Fun activities at the Rhine Falls:
Watching the waterfalls from the top of the cliff. At the top of the waterfalls area there are paths for tourists that pass over the river and enable them to see the waterfalls more clearly, in addition to the presence of a ladder that leads to the top of the waterfalls and through it you can enjoy the flow of waterfalls towards you.
Swimming and boating when you reach the falls will be the decision for you, so if you are a fan of adventures, you only need to take a boat ride in the middle of the waterfalls so that you can get close to them a lot.
Going to the Adventure Park (Rope Park) which is one of the entertainment places in the Rhine, as it offers entertainment, adventures and games for visitors such as moving from tree to tree, free fall in the river at a height of 13 meters, as well as the opportunity to participate in the competition (holding the breath) under the Rhine Falls.
