Swiss National Museum (Schweizerisches Nationalmuseum)

Overview:

The Swiss National Museum is one of the most important tourist places in Switzerland Zurich.

Its construction dates back to 1898 AD, and it displays Swiss history and culture from ancient periods of prehistory to the present day.

The museum is located in the old town of Zurich in Switzerland.

Inside the museum:

It consists of three main museums, which are the Swiss National Museum, the Swiss Castle and the Swiss History Forum.

Unlike the usual museums, in which you start your tour from the inside, you begin your tour in the Swiss National Museum from its external structure, which is a huge palace with its towers and very beautiful gardens built on the French character, and this museum is divided into three main museums:

The first museum is the Swiss National Museum, which includes a large number of holdings that reflect the culture of Switzerland throughout history, including weapons and coins in addition to furniture, carpets and sculptures that express Switzerland.

The second museum which is the Swiss Castle, is a castle that combines Baroque and Gothic architecture, which is represented by sculptures and antiques, in addition to a group of statues that reflect the sacredness and the Swiss religious character, and do not forget the plants that are distributed in its beautiful gardens and reflect the Swiss green culture.

The third museum, which is the Swiss History Forum, includes Swiss history from the Stone Age to the present day, as it has sculptures, tools and artifacts that tell you the history, revolution and Swiss culture since its inception, as well as talking to you about its most important events, conflicts, principles and leadership in various humanitarian, political and sports fields.

The museum includes a new section that tells the history of refugees across the world, especially the Syrians, where you learn about their stories, their suffering, and the most important collections, and the museum also includes a gallery that narrates the lives of the 5 most influential figures in the refugees.
