Overview:

Calanques National Park is one of the best tourist destinations in Marseille, as it is the only European nature reserve. It contains green lands, water and mountains which are considered an area for outdoor adventurers.  

The Park dates back to 2012, and it is famous for its natural landscapes and considered as a paradise for nature lovers.

Architectural description:

Calanques National Park is located between Marseille and Cassis, and it is considered a long massif of about twenty kilometres.

At the center of this massif, there are water tables which are formed from the valleys and they are very steep.

Plants of the bays are: astragalede Marseille, orange fruit arbutus, thyme andailsail.

How to get there:

You can sail from Marseille to Cassis or vice versa, with shuttle services specifically rented from both cities. These shuttles stop in the finest bays: Sormiou, Morgiou, En-Vau or Sugiton.
