It is one of the largest squares in Germany, and it is also considered one of the best markets in Berlin, as it includes a wide range of stores which provides everything you can think of luxury products and brands.

There are also many high-end restaurants in the place, and it has a number of restaurants and modern buildings that reflect the great development that has taken place since the end of World War II.

Historic overview:

It was called Alexanderplatz after the Russian Tsar (Alexander I), and the one who gave this name to the square was the King of Berlin, when the Russian Tsar visited the city in 1805.
