The Sony Center was established in the year 2000 by Helmut Jan, whose futuristic aesthetic is the antithesis to the DaimlerChrysler neighborhood.

The Sony Center holds the activities of the Berlin Film Festival, and in addition to that, it provides many multi-specialty restaurants and cafes. The Sony Center also contains shops for the finest international luxury brands.
