Overview :
The Andalusian castle is called Castillo de St Catalina.
The reason for this name is a paragraph inscribed in Spanish over one of the fort's inner building that mean in Arabic “on November 25, 1246 AD, in the day of Saint Catalina, Ibn Al-Ahmar, the King of Granada, delivered this fortress to Fernando III, and from that day the saint is the protector of the city of Jaén.
