Historic overview:
Jawa means the wide valley in the Arabic language, it also means the space between homes.
In the past, Jawa was the home of Bani Asad and Bani Abs to whom belonged Antarah bin Shaddad and his beloved Ablah. Al Jawa was mentioned in Antarah’s poetry and also in Arabic literature.

Uyun Al-Jawa Governorate is considered one of the governorates affiliated to the Qassim Region and ii is located 30 km north of the Qassim Region.
This governorate is characterized by its strategic location, as it is located between Qassim and Hail, and the governorate is located in the north-western part of the city of Buraidah.
"Muhammad bin Nasser Al-Aboudi" mentioned in Al Mo'gam Al Goghrafi llbelad Al-Arabya Also'odya (Qasim): that it was in old springs running, and it had old architecture, as evidenced by the ancient writings found on some of their rocks.
