Overview:
• The “Yves Saint Laurent” Museum is a museum dedicated to the French fashion designer “Yves Saint Laurent”.
• The museum was opened to the public on October 19, 2017, near the Majorelle Garden, which Laurent has owned along with his professional and emotional partner “Pierre Berger” since 1980 AD, to display and preserve a collection of the fashion designer’s works belonging to the "Pierre and Bergé Yves Saint Laurent's foundation.
• The Paris-based collection includes 5,000 pieces of clothing, 15,000 pieces of high-end accessories, as well as tens of thousands of drawings.
Architecture description:
• The 4,000-square-meter museum is designed to be more than just a showcase of works. It also includes a space for temporary exhibitions, a research library containing more than 6,000 volumes, a 150-seat auditorium, a bookstore, and a café with an open terrace.
