St Andrew’s Church
Église anglicane Saint André
Overview:
The Church of "Saint Andrew" is one of the most charming oddities of Tangier, which was completed in the year 1890 AD.
It was built according to Islamic architecture. Its towers were built in the style of building minarets in Moroccan mosques, and the church contains distinctive decorations and sculptures.
Moroccan journalist and explorer Walter Harris is buried here, along with the squadron leader Thomas Kirby Green, a prisoner of war during the Great Escape.
There is also a section of the war cemeteries of the entire aircrew that fell.
