Overview:
- The archaeological site of "Tamouda" in Tetouan is the ruins of an ancient Roman city dating back to the third century BC. The city that was destroyed in the year 40 AD during the Berber-Roman war during the Idemon revolution, and the city constitutes the first urbanization phenomenon of pre-Christian times.
- The archaeological site of "Tamouda" is located in the southwestern side of Tetouan and near the military barracks on the right bank of Wadi Martel. The site of the historical city is about 5 km away from the city of Tetouan on the national roads heading towards the city of Chefchaouen.
