Historic overview:

The meaning of this name goes back to before the date of its establishment. The famous Ottoman traveller and writer Evliya Çelebi narrated that he saw between dreaming and awakening a minbar in this place and saw the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, on top of the minbar, and also saw the muezzin of the Messenger Bilal al-Habashi calling for prayer in this mosque, he also saw the Companions and the People of the House, may God bless them all, praying in this mosque before its construction.

On the basis of his dream, this mosque was built in the late fourteenth century, and it was destroyed more than once in its history. It was burned in 1539 AD and remained left until the year 1653 AD and then repaired by “Sinan”, and it was damaged in an earthquake in 1894 AD, and it was repaired and rehabilitated again.

It is located on the Gulf of Istanbul near the famous Eminonu area in Fatih. This is the story of the construction of this mosque in which the five daily prayers are held.
