The area of the fort is 2.5 km2 and was constructed of red sandstone in the shape of a crescent, and it includes in its campus the royal city consisting of many palaces such as Jahangir Palace or Taj Mahal which is built by Shah Jahan, and two magnificent mosques.
The fortress is an architectural masterpiece; Its arcades are distinguished by carved murals which have intricate and magnificent shapes.
It is characterized by the charming garden that mediates the fort in an attractive and unique shape, as well as the wonderful towers and domes that characterize this distinctive historical building.
