Emmaus
Overview:
• Emmaus is an ancient Roman city, meaning hot springs. It was reached by the Muslims during the caliphate of Abu Bakr, when Amr ibn al-Aas conquered it, and it became the headquarters of the Muslim soldiers.
• The plague spread there during the time of Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, and many thousands of people died there.
Current location:
Emmaus today is a Palestinian village that was occupied by the Zionist entity in 1967 AD, and built on it a public park on the land of Emmaus called “Canada Park” or "Ayalon Canada Park".
