Rhodes
Rhodes is one of the biggest islands among Dodecanese Islands in Greece, where Marmara strait separates the island from turkey. The island space amounts to 1.388 square kilometers extending from the northwest to the southeast of the 1.215 long meters hills in attavyros, which overlooks Anatolia coast located on the Dodecanese Archipelago. Rhodes island is located in Greece, which is one of the biggest islands in the Aegean sea. The island is located 17.7 kilometers from the southwest coast of Turkey, where around 100.000 people live there including 80 thousand living in Rhodes city.
In ancient times snakes used to live on the island, but farmers still wear leather shoes to protect them from poisonous snakes.
In winter the temperature reaches 10 degrees, where the wind moves the windmills.
Rhode Island is also the capital of the Archipelago, which tourists visit every year especially in summer and spring. The island has many tourist attractions including beaches located in the east, castles built by Knights Hospitaller, churches located on the top of a hill.
