Doi Hua Mae Kham

Overview:

Doi Hua Mae Kham is one of the largest mixed hill villages in Thailand.

Doi Hua Mae Kham includes the Akha, Lahu, Lisu and Yao tribes, as well as the Hmong and Tai Yai.

It is located in the far northwest of Chiang Rai Province, about 30 km west of Tweed Thai. On the border with Myanmar, as the cold season arrives, giant golden yellow Mexican sunflowers are in full bloom in this village, and hills and valleys turn into a beautiful tapestry of gold and green.
