Overview
Batumi Central Mosque is not only a monument but also a proof that the city respects different religions. Although Georgia does not have a large Muslim community, but the mosque was built in 1886. The mosque is popularly known as the Jamia in the middle for it once stood in between two other mosques which have not survived.
