Overview:
• Al-Nouriah Al-Kubra School specializes in the hadith of the Prophet; may God bless him and grant him peace. It is the first school established on earth for this noble and lofty purpose.
• Al-Hadith Al-Nouriah School was established in 2004 by a decision of the Ministry of Awqaf in Syria.
• The school is located in Damascus, the neighborhood of Al-Amarah Al-Jowaniah, and it occupies the Aleppo corner of the Umayyad Mosque.
• This school is the first of its kind for females in the Islamic world, although there are similar schools for males only in India and Iran.
• The school is now teaching the sciences of the Qur'an and hadith and what is related to them such as the term hadith, jurisprudence, interpretation, Arabic language, doctrine and intonation. In addition to granting the Holy Qur’an licenses in memorizing by heart and by looking from the Qur’an, granting the ten readings license as well as the memorization by heart of the seven fundamental principles, which are Sahih (Bukhari and Muslim), the four Sunan (Tirmidhi, An-Nasa’i, Abu Dawood and Ibn Majah) and the Muwatta of Imam Malik. The school is also concerned with non-Arabic speakers. This school is affiliated with the Ministry of Awqaf.
