 Sadu House

Overview

Sadu House, located at Jibla region that overlooks the sea, was built by Mr. Yusuf al-Marzouk at 1929. The house is one of the few remaining buildings from the pre-petroleum era in Kuwait with area that amounts to 1061.5 square meters. The house is designed with two types of architecture the traditional Kuwaiti and the Indian architecture. The Bedouins calls wool knitting and knitting loom Sadu and it is one of the oldest traditional crafts in the peninsula. The NCCAL reconstructed the house by renewing the floors and the interior electrical network so it can be used as a museum that shows the Sadu history.
