Mulayda Battle
Overview:
It is a battle that took place in the year (1308 AH / 1891AD) between Prince Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Rashid, the Prince of Hail, and with him the people of Hail and some of the Shammar tribe against Prince Hassan Al-Muhanna Aba Al-Khail, the Prince of Buraydah, and with him Barzan from Muteer and Al Shayabeen from Otaiba and some of the Dhamshah from the tribe of Anza who are located at the outskirts of North Qassim and Zamil bin Salim the prince of Unayzah. Ibn Rasheed lured them to the land of Mulayda, which was suitable for the horses, and a violent battle took place among them, in which he triumphed over them and killed about 1,000 men, including Prince of Unayzah Zamil bin Salim, then Hassan bin Muhanna, Prince of Buraydah, was arrested and imprisoned, and he remained there until his death in (1320 AH).

Mulayda is located near the airport of Qassim, to the east of the airport and the University of Qassim (formerly King Saud), and near the Aramco refinery, which is between the city of Buraydah and the Al-Bukayriyah governorate, and away from the city of Buraidah about (30 km) to the west, and away from the Al-Bukayriyah governorate about (40 km) to the north.
