Merchant's House Museum
Overview:
Merchant's House Museum was built in 1832 and is sited as New York's finest example of Greek revival architecture.
It had been owned by the Tredwell family for 98 years. In 1936 AD, a decision was made to convert it into a museum and open it to the public.
The museum contains the personal possessions of the Tredwell family, including furniture, apparel, beds, memorabilia, books, paintings, glass and chinaware.
