Historic overview:
It is a valley between Fadak and Al-Wabashiya. Khadr; this valley has many trees.

Current Location:
The valley hosts some strange rock engravings and drawings, located on one of the bundles west of Marakh Valley.
Al-Ghat governorate is located 240 km to the northwest of the capital, Riyadh, and is bordered from the west by the Qassim and about 100 km away from it.
Ibn Bishr mentioned in his book (The Title of Glory in the History of Najd) about the participation of the residents of Al-Ghat in some of the campaigns of the first Saudi state in 1239 AH. Al-Ghat residents had a key role in establishing the kingdom.
Al-Ghat was mentioned in a number of books of foreign travelers, including "William Belgrave", who passed through Al Ghat in 1279 AH; the traveler John "Gordon Lorimer" as well as "Barclay Ronkyer” mentioned this city; moreover, the Saudi traveler "Atik bin Ghaith Al-Baladi"documented about this city during his well-known journey in 1396 AH.
Al-Ghat hosts many heritage and archaeological monuments dating back to ancient historical eras, the most prominent of which: The Al-Hutaiba Well, which is located southeast of the town; near to the town, there is a site that contains many inscriptions and drawings carved on individual rocks dating back to the period between 900 BC to 400 AD.
