Overview:

The "Girten der Welt", or as it is called the Gardens of the World, is located in the Marzahn district of Berlin, and it is an essential part of the gardens of the IGA International Fair, and it is considered one of the best gardens in Berlin.

Architectural description:

The Gardens of the World representing parts of Asia, Europe and the Middle East are tucked away among those Soviet-style buildings east of Berlin.

The garden includes a maze, and a number of statues that depict some scenes from German fairy tales, and new gardens are always added to it; Like the Italian Garden, the English Garden, and the Tropical Garden, they were added recently.

Visitors can dive into the worlds of Japanese and Chinese gardens or the atmosphere of oriental gardens and the cultures of different regions of the world from which materials and plants were imported and the buildings are designed in their style, such as the oriental arcades, and the Chinese café in a way that puts visitors to Berlin in front of a wonderful scene that is difficult to forget.

Historic overview:

The Gardens of the World opened in 1987 AD, and the Chinese gardens were added as part of the partnership project between Beijing and Berlin.

The Gardens of the World "Girten der Welt", located in the Marzahn district, will be an integral part of the IGA Garden as of April 2017.
