Bab Ftouh
Overview:
It is one of the gates of the city of Fez. It is one of the main gates in Fez. It is located in the eastern wall of Idwa Al Andalus.
The name of the first gate goes back to "Al-Ftouh Ibn Dunas", a sultan of the sultans of the Maghraoua Berber state in the Far Maghreb.
Bab Ftouh represents one of the historical and archaeological monuments in Fez. It also gives a vivid example of the ability of Moroccan teachers and artists to adapt architecture to historical developments.
