Osh

- Osh is one of the most important cities in Kyrgyzstan and the second largest city after Bishkek, it was built about 3000 years ago, and it is located on the Ferghana Valley.

- Archaeologists have found in it monuments dating back to the fifth century B.C. and it was claimed that the city of Osh is older than Rome.

- Its population is about 220 thousand people, forming a mixture of ethnic Uzbeks, Kyrgyz and Tajiks. Sulayman Mountain is located next to the city and it is a World Heritage Site.

- There are many myths about the origin of the city - and also claims that it was founded by Solomon or Alexander the Great, even if these prominent figures did not establish Osh Kyrgyzstan, its location is at the intersection of ancient trade routes, which was then known as the Silk Road, which guaranteed it to be a major settlement.

- The city of Osh was mentioned in the great epic of the Kyrgyz people under the leadership of Manas, the wise man Osfor was a teacher of Manas.
