Al-Hasakah

- Al-Hasakah Governorate occupies the north-eastern part of the Syrian Arab Republic with an area of 2333359 hectares, or 23,333 km2 and comes third in terms of area at the country level, accounting for 12.6% of the total area of the country.

- It is bordered from the east by Iraq, with a length of 2,209 km and from the north is the Republic of Turkey, with a length of 300 km, from the south, Deir ez-Zor Governorate, with a length of 87 km and from the west, Raqqa Governorate, with a length of about 45 km. Its borders are in line with the north-eastern side of the Tigris River, with a length of 45 km.
