Issyk Kul Province

Issyk Kul Province is one of the regions of Kyrgyzstan, its capital is Karakol. It is surrounded by Almaty Region, Kazakhstan, Chuy Province, Naryn Region, and Xinjiang.

Its name is taken from Issyk Kul Lake, which is the second largest Salt Lake in the world, which never freezes despite its height in the Tian Shan Mountains.
