Almería
Calipha Abd-ar-Rahman III ordered the building of Almería in 344. The name Almeria comes from its function as a watchtower or comes from its meaning “The Mirror”,or the Mirror of the Sea as it reflects the landmarks of the city.
There is the ruins of the Mayor Mosque which was converted in to San Juan cathedral.
It is situated on the south east coast, it is about 2 hours away from Malaga.
It considered one of the most beautiful coastal cities, it combines modern and historic landmarks, one of its famous landmarks is Alcazaba fort in addition to many Museums, Parks and along the promenade there are restaurants and cafes.
